"All,
Our scheduled guests on POW/MIA Radio for Sunday, August 30, 2009 are:
2:00pm Mtn - News and Views: An hour of the latest POW/MIA and veterans issues.
3:00pm Mtn - Mr. Marc Phillip Yablonka: Marc is a veteran of the US Army and a graduate of the Professional Writing School of the University of Southern California. He served as a Public Affairs Officer (CWO-2) with the 40th Infantry Division Support Brigade and the Installation Support Group, California State Military Reserve, at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, California, between 2001 and 2008. He also served with the Sar-El unit of the Israeli Defense Forces. His new book, Distant War: Recollections of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, is a compilation of stories and articles about the American involvement in Southeast Asia. Anyone wanting a further understanding of war and how it affected many of those that were there, will appreciate this book. From our POW/MIAs to Air America to Pat Sajak, DJat Armed Forces Radio, this book contained several surprises for me. Please visit: http://www.merriam-press.com/distantwar.aspxfor more information.
4:00pm Mtn - Mr. John LeBoutillier: Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. Speaking of change, bailouts, cash for clunkers, unresolved health reform debate not to mention runaway illegal immigration, proposed investigations into past torture practices, the new administration has produced surprises, shock and dismay in some areas. What has this new administration done to our country and what is there to look forward to. Where should our focus be as a nation and as activists for our POW/MIAs? John will analyze the administration's lack of accomplishments and discuss the mood of the country from the standpoint of a Washington insider. Mr. LeBoutillier is a former congressman from New York and presently columnist for NewsMax.com. He is a nationally recognized political commentator and has been a frequent guest on national talk shows. John has authored several books and also contributes to several major newspapers and magazines. He has been active in POW/MIA issues since he served as a member of the Special House POW/MIA Task Force. For a fresh, honest insight, please view his articlesfound at http://www.newsmax.com. You can also see his blog site at http://leboutillier.blogspot.com/.
