Packers raise POW/MIA Flag in Memoriam

The Green Bay Packers welcomed Rolling Thunder Wisconsin to Lambeau Field today for a ceremonial flag raising.

The local chapter of Rolling Thunder, a Vietnam War Veterans group, is teaming up with the Packers to fly the prisoner of war and missing-in-action flag.

Today marks the first time the Packers ever raised the P.O.W./M.I.A. Flag anywhere on stadium grounds.

Those attending witnessed a rifle salute along with the flag raising as a tribute to sacrifices of those who suffered in the Vietnam War and the service of people who never came home.

Randal Boumgart, Vice President of Rolling Thunder - Chapter 3, says, "it's just gonna be a good feeling for veterens in general, including myself, to know that there are organizations like the Packers that do care and are willing to do little things like this and I do say little because it takes little effort on their part, but it makes big statements."
