POW-MIA Freedom Radio

23 August, 2009

"All,

Our scheduled guests on POW/MIA Radio for Sunday, August 23, 2009 are:

2:00pm Mtn - News and Views: An hour of the latest POW/MIA and veterans issues.

3:00-5:00pm Mtn - Ms. Amy Waters Yarsinske: Noted author, veteran, researcher and mother, with a BA and Masters of Planning, Amy is also agraduate of the prestigious CIVIC Leadership Institute. She is a member of Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), Authors Guild and James River Writers. One of her over 40 titles or books is "No One Left Behind", the story of Lt. Cmdr. Michael Scott Speicher, USN, missing at the very start of Desert Storm on January 17, 1991. She was submitted for a Pulitzer Prize for Journalism for a 2002 six-part series in the Virginian-Pilot, entitled " Dead or Alive", written in collaboration with Virginian-Pilot reporter Lon Wagner. Speicher, since the date of his shootdown, has been declared Killed in Action, Missing in Action, Missing Captured, Missing in Action again andfinally his remains have been found and identified. Promoted to Captain while in a missing status, Speicherleft many pieces of evidence and clues to place in question the early assessments that had him listed KIA/BNR. Amy has done extensive research into this case and her book is replete with facts that show not only did Speicher survive his ejection that night but has been seen alive. Intelligence reports during Operation Iraqi Freedom have coroborated these findings and his initials had been found in an Iraqi prison! Amy is respected by many as the foremost source of information on Captain Speicher and will discuss new developments in his case. Many questions still remain unanswered. Although his family finally has closure, does the Nation have all the facts and the truth to truly say goodbye to Captain Michael Scott Speicher. Amy will also discuss her other projects including another book on POW/MIAs from other wars. For more information about Amy, please visit: http://www.amywatersyarsinske.com
