He will talk aboutthe upcoming annual Memorial Day picnicfor the Montagnard people and how we can support them.The Montagnards were our loyal allies during the Vietnam War and many Americans owe their lives to the bravery and sacrifices of these men and women. This year the Annual Montagnard Picnic will be held from May 22-24, 2008 in Asheboro, NC. George will talk about the event and the goals of the organization. 4:00pm Mtn -Ms. Carol Hrdlicka. Carol's husband, Col. David L. Hrdlicka, USAF was shot down May 18, 1965 and since that time she has fought to seek the truth about his whereabouts. Col. Hrdlicka was seen alive in the cave complex near Sam Neua, Laos and appeared in several Communist newspapers. In 1966, Pravda, the Russian News service ran a photo of him showing that he wasvery much alive. Carol has been a frequent visitor tothe offices of congressmen and many government officials. She has testified before congressional committees and works closely with her state's Senators to enlist their help for all POW/MIA Issues. Carol will discuss the choices we have forPresident in particular Senator John McCain.

URGENT HELP NEEDED...H.Res. 111 has been introduced by Rep. Peter King (R-NY). This resolution will establish a House Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs.Contactthe representatives in your state that have not already signed onto co-sponsor this urgent resolution. As of this writing there are273co-sponsors.

IMPORTANT: Please contact the reps in your state that have signed on, thank them for their support, and ask them that they make an inquiry with the Rules Committee as to why H.Res 111 had not been marked up and voted out of the Rules Committee.Use the toll free switchboard number 1-866-727-4894. Please ask that they sign on to the letter submitted by Congressman King, addressed to Speaker Pelosi on behalf of H. Res 111.
