Memorial Day - Invitation

"PLEASE SAVE THE DATE as Memorial Day is quickly approaching.

I am writing to invite you or your organization to participate in our Memorial Day Parade this year. We are in need of additional units to march in our parade. Your presence will enhance our theme of a "Patriotic Hometown Parade" and will be appreciated by our entire community.

In honor of our local veterans, we are inviting many to join us in the parade with some riding in antique military vehicles and convertibles, as well as additional entries with a military theme, including revolutionary and civil war re-enactors, bag pipes, fife and drums, and bands, etc. A luncheon will be provided for the veterans and parade participants after the parade at the American Legion Hall located at Broad & State Sts.

WHEN: Monday, May 26, 2008 @ 10 a.m. TIME: 9:00-9:15 a.m. for Line Up WHERE: Old Thriftway/Shurfine store parking lot on Mill Rd. & Cypress Sts. The parade will end at St. Pats Cemetery on North Union St. near Rt. 1 bypass.

DIRECTIONS: Take Rt. 1 South through the town of Kennett Square (State St.), turn left on Mill Road, parade starting site is one block ahead on left at next intersection of Cypress and Mill Road.
