Remains from Laos believed to be those of Americans

HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii - A ceremony to honor recovered remains believed to be associated with American military members will take place on Friday.

There will be one transfer case associated with the Vietnam War from the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

A joint honor guard will memorialize the arrival of the remain at 9 a.m.inside Hangar 35.

Following the ceremony, the remains will be transported to the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command where the forensic identification process begins.
