3:00pm Mtn - Mr. Mike McNeely: USMC Vietnam Veteran who served two tourswith several Marine Battalions in various locations in Vietnam. He was involved in Operation Hastings where he was wounded in action near the Rockpile.After returning to the US, Mike became interested in the POW issue andhas been very activesince 1984. He worked with Mike Van Atta and the Live POW Committee as North Carolina State Coordinator. Since 1994, he has distributed over 90,000 POWdecals, and other items, to promote awareness for our missing Americans. Mike will discuss his activities and ideas to advertise for our POW/MIAs.

4:00pm Mtn - Mr. James Campbell: Author and writer, Jim has written articles for Outside magazine and other publications. His recent book, "The Ghost Mountain Boys", is the true story of a little publicized operation by theUS Army's 32nd Division in New Guineaduring World War II. Barely nine months into the war and Australia thought to be the target of a Japanese invasion, military planners sent 1,100 men of the 32nd to march 130 miles over the rugged Owen StanleyMountains to protect the flank of the Australian Army anddrive the Japanese back toNew Guinea's north coast.His book is the story oftheir courage despite lack of preparation and supplies and theirvictorious battlein the end. Jim will also discuss his trips to New Guinea and his trek along the same route to retrace their steps.

This resolution will establish a House Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs.Contactthe representatives in your state this coming weekto co-sponsor this urgent resolution. As of this writing there are237co-sponsors.Very Important - please keep up the calls to the House Rules Committee members to support as well. We need to get H. Res. 111 on the floor for a vote!
