All,
Our scheduled guests on POW/MIA Radio for Sunday, October 28, 2007 are:
* * * * * SPECIAL TWO HOURINTERVIEW * * * * *
3:00 pm Mtn -Mr. Jasper Page and Ms. Diane Moore Rich. Sgt. Jasper Page and three other U.S. Air Force personnel were captured on October 31, 1965, while traveling from Vung Tau to Saigon in Vietnam. The other men were Sgt. Charles Dusing, Sgt. Samuel Adams and Sgt. Thomas Moore. While being moved to another location, Sgt. Page escaped but the othes were not successful.Jasper Page eventually made it to friendly forces but the others remain unaccounted for. Since that time, Jasper has tried to find the truth about what happened to his friends.The story of hisescape is harrowing enough butthe story of his fight against the very government tasked with the fullest possible accounting is even more disturbing. One of these men, Sgt. Thomas Moore, is the father of Diane. As adaughter of a missing American, she hasalso suffered the trauma of trying to find answers about her dad. Her struggle is one not often even thought about by those not directly affected by the POW/MIA issue. She has endured not only a lifetime of searching but also that same lifetime without a father figure that would be afriend, guide and mentor. Diane met and married Chris Rich, who'sdad, Capt. Richard Rich, USN, was also MIA. In 2000, remains were returned and identified as those of Capt. Rich. Certainly closure for Chris, but another emotional experience for Diane, still waiting for her dad to return. Jasper andDiane will relate how this event inlives of four friends in Vietnam has evolved and affected the lives of the families and friends these men left behind.
