POW Museum to Close for Maintenance

The National Prisoner of War Museum at Andersonville National Historic Site in Anderson, Ga., will close temporarily to allow for necessary maintenance work. The planned period for closing is through Feb. 17. A temporary visitor center will have exhibits on display and provide some basic services to the visiting public. Some services will still be provided. The grounds are open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and the visitor center is open 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Free admission. More information can be found at www.nps.gov.
