Recovery of Soviet POWs Gets Boost

The United States-Russia Joint Commission on POW/MIA Affairs chairman Wednesday donated 500 DNA collection kits to Russian officials seeking to identify Soviet soldiers who went missing in the Afghanistan war.

The chairman, retired U.S. Air Force General Robert Foglesong, presented the kits to retired general and former Ingush President Ruslan Aushev to help Aushev's Committee of Warrior Internationalists establish a bank of genetic material. Ê
