3:00pm - 5:00pm Mtn - Mr. Garnett "Bill" Bell: Mr. Bell's military career goes back to 1960 with the US Army. He served two tours in Vietnam in the infantry and returned in 1973 as translator during Operation Homecoming. In 1975 Bill helped evacuate American and Vietnamese from Saigon as the city was being overrun by the Communists. He served as Senior Field Investigator for search and rescue operations of POW/MIAs and in 1991as Chief of the US Office for POW/MIA Affairs. Bill has testified before the Senate Select Committee for POW/MIA Affairs and remains active in the issue today. Along with George J. Veith, he wrote "Leave No Man Behind", the story of Bill's perseverance in getting answers about our missing Americans from the Vietnam War.
