Candlelight Vigil Held For Maupins

The ninth of a every month brings a reminder to friends and family of Marine staff sergeant Matt Maupin that he is still missing. this December 9, a candlelight vigil was held at the new Yellow Ribbon Support Center in Eastgate, marking 32-months since his abduction while serving in Iraq.

The service was held to show support for him and for all the troops. "Well, April 9 to me was yesterday," said Matt's father, Keith Maupin. "So, you know all we want to do is try to make it, let those guys know they're not forgotten and we still support them."

"Things like this, it touches our heart that they do still remember," said his mother, Carolyn Maupin. "They still think about Matt. They still pray about him." This will be the Maupins' third Christmas without their son.
