Thanks to Pete Peters for passing this along.

"To All hands and then some;

This went out snail mail on our VFW Post Letterhead. The show was on the Discovery Channel last night.... Hope you caught it, but it will be repeated.

Dear Mr. Teutul,

On behalf of all of our people in this Post, Thank You for creating that beautiful POW/MIA bike...

Thank you for hopefully reenergizing public concern for the fate of our Abandoned brothers from WW-II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf. It became obvious you people poured your hearts into that project, as you did with the Fireman’s bike.

Hopefully, thanks to your sterling efforts, our lethargic political leaders will now be getting a message to get of their deadbeat butts and put some teeth in that lackluster DOD program politely requesting some accountion of our POW’s and MIA’s from Siberian and Red Chinese Slave Labor Camps...

No More Polite Diplomatic BS -- No More Excuses... No More Hustles, and No More sweetheart industrial contracts from Uncle Pigeon until we get all of our Son of Valor Back... Period !!! Bring our people home !!!

We don’t know what your plans are for the POW / MIA bike, but we would sure love to see it parked illegally on the Capital steps in Dizzy Land East with a few former POW’s and MIA families and see if the Capitol Police have the gonads to hall
it off.... Might make a great story on the national evening boob-tube views....

Again, Thank You for turning up the spotlight on the POW/MIA issue. May all the great saints that ever were cast a warm glow on you and yours this night.

Respectfully,

Pete Peters,
Adjutant /Quartermaster
