Re: POW-MIA Freedom Radio Broadcast
Date: February 08, 2004
"All,
Our scheduled guests on POW/MIA Radio for Sunday, February 8, 2004 are:
3:00pm Mtn. - News and Views. An hour of the latest POW/MIA and veterans issues.
4:00pm Mtn - Mr. Garnett E. "Bill" Bell. Bill is a multi-decorated
US Army veteran and government official of 30 plus years serving much of that
time in Vietnam during and after the war. He was selected as the interpreter-translator
for "Operation Homecoming" and in 1974 he assisted in the search for
American MIAs. Bill became the senior field investigator for the initial POW/MIA
search and recover operations in Vietnam and in 1991 was named Chief of the
US Office for POW/MIA Affairs. Since his retirement in 1993 he has remained
active in POW/MIA issues and his recent book, "Leave No Man Behind",
his memoirs of our efforts in the search for missing Americans, is slated to
be released soon.
5:00pm Mtn - Mr. Jerry Mooney. Jerry is a former Master Sergeant in the US Air
Force and analyst for the National Security Agency (NSA). Among his duties,
he tracked many of our MIAs after they were lost and into their capture. He
also compiled and maintained the Order of Battle for many North Vietnamese military
units and their operational records. Jerry has testified before several government
committees on behalf of our POW/MIAs and has been an outspoken advocate on issues
relating to national security. Jerry will discuss our intelligence gatherers,
such as Baron 52, an EC-47, lost February 5, 1973 and the disappearance of the
"back-enders", the Electronic Warfare experts who were reported being
moved north after their shootdown.
REMEMBER H. RES. 103 AND 402...OUR MISSING AMERICANS AND LAO ALLIES NEED YOUR
