"Let's not forget Keith Maupin
The Hillsboro Argus reminds its readers to keep Pfc. Keith M. (Matt) Maupin in their thoughts and prayers. Maupin, a 20-year-old from Batavia, Ohio, is the only U.S. soldier known to be in enemy hands.
Maupin was originally listed as missing since a fuel convoy was attacked on April 9, 2004 near Baghdad International Airport by Iraqi insurgents using rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire.
A videotape broadcast by Al-Jazeera on April 16, showed Maupin being held hostage by Iraqi insurgents. The Pentagon has since changed his status to captured. That status remains.
