4:00pm Mtn - News and Views: An hour of the latest POW/MIA and veteran issues. Our special guest at 4:15 will be Mr. Rick Crandall. Rick is a well known radio personality on KEZW-AM and he has been an active supporter of our veterans and servicemen and women. Rick will discuss the Colorado Freedom Memorial, a monument to the sacrifice of the nearly 7,000 Coloradans that will be built near Buckley Air Force Base. 5:00pm Mtn - Mr. Ralph Nash: Ralph is the State of Colorado Chairperson for Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. On December 7, 1941 he was serving aboard the USCGC Tiger, a 125 ft cutter on patrol along the southwest coast of Oahu. After working the sonar contact of a suspected Japanese submarine, Tiger came under fire from both surface and air attackers. She was unable to return fire due the the extreme range and limits of her own armament but she received a Battle Star for her participation. She was one of the first targets in the infamous attack Pearl Harbor attack. He will discuss his recollection of the attack and the remainded of World War II. Ralph will be joined by son Dan, who is active with the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors.
