Family row erupts over burial of North Texas Vietnam War MIA
SHERMAN, Texas - A family dispute has erupted over last week's burial of a North Texas Vietnam War gunner recently identified after 38 years missing in action.

Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Luther Rose of Howe was buried in a Sherman cemetery after his remains were found in Laos and identified.

But K-X-I-I television reports not all of his family learned about the burial.

The station reports Rose's widow is threatening to have his body exhumed and moved closer to her Louisiana home. Beverly Rose says she and her daughter didn't learn about the Sherman ceremony until they read of it in a Louisiana newspaper.

Rose had been listed as missing in action since June 23rd, 1966, when his plane was shot down.

A crash site was located in 1994, but it took much longer to recover any remains and identify them using D-N-A and other records.
