"All,
"2003...Lets set them Free"
Our scheduled guests on POW/MIA Radio for Sunday, December 28, 2003 are:
3:00pm Mtn - News and Views. An hour of the latest POW/MIA and veterans issues. Reflections on the year 2003 and looking forward to 2004.
4:00pm Mtn - Mr. Lloyd Pate. Lloyd is a former POW in the Korean War and his 23 years in the Army includes two tours in Vietnam, where he served with the !st Cav and 82nd Airborne. His time as guest of North Korea, although one of cold and inhumane treatment, gave Sgt. Pate the opportunity to torment his captors as well. Branded a Reactionary, he succeeded in frustrating guards and interrogators. His recent book, "Reactionary-Revised 2000, is a frank description of his time in Korea and still available. Lloyd will also discuss the out-going year and his view of what lies ahead.
5:00pm Mtn. - CSM Michael N. Martin, USA (ret). Command Sergeant Major Martin is a 30 year Army veteran with two tours in Vietnam as Airborne Ranger. He was an advisor to ARVN Rangers and a CIA run Provinsional Reconnaisance Unit (PRU). His military career also included over 9 years in Europe with a Long Range Reconnaisance Patrol and 19 years in Korea with the 75th Ranger Battalion. Mike was inducted to the Ranger Hall of Fame in 1995. His current project is to get SSGT Harold G. Bennet, the first American POW in Vietnam to be executed, inducted into the Ranger Hall of Fame, the highest honor for an Army Ranger. Sgt Bennett's heroic efforts in the ill-fated Battle of Binh Gia are most noteworthy.
