4:00pm Mtn - Ms. Diane Carson Evans. Diane, a former Army nurse and Vietnam Veteran, is the founder of the Vietnam Women's Memorial Project (VWMP) and Chair of the Board of Directors. She served in Vietnam in '68-'69 as a staff nurse at Vung Tau and as head nurse at Pleiku. Upon her return to the US, Diane became an advocate for veterans, research assistant and lectures around the country. Her passion was to honor the over 265,000 women that served during the Vietnam War. She saw her goal realized in the dedication of the Vietnam Woman's Memorial on November 11, 1993. Diane will discuss her activities as a nurse and the upcoming 10th anniversary commemoration. Please visit http://www.vietnamwomensmemorial.org for more information on this event.

5:00pm Mtn - Ms. Noonie Fortin. Noonie's lengthy list of credentials include author, speaker, publisher and probably most important of all, veteran. In her 22 plus years in the Army, she reached the rank of E-8 and serves as a Retired Reserve. She is a prolific author and writer and her book, "Memories of Maggie", is an excellent account of Martha Raye, an entertainment legend in three wars. Her latest book, "Women at Risk", is a compilation of stories from 60 women who served in the military or as civilians since before World War II.
