"POWs and MIAs honored

by Jennifer Steiskal

Service and sacrifice honored at Mount Rushmore this afternoon.

Some former prisoners of war still won't even talk about what happened, but organizers of the 25th annual Prisoner of War and Missing in Action Recognition Ceremony say they all reacted positively. Today's remembrance included aircraft fly-bys and a 21-gun salute, fitting reminders of service and sacrifice.

For the second year, the Air Force Sergeants Association ran a relay with the POW/MIA flag from Ellsworth to Mount Rushmore.
