"Top brass condole deaths; 4 buried

KUWAIT CITY : Four martyred Kuwaiti POWs, including the first woman POW, were put to final rest at the Sulaibikhat cemetery Wednesday. A large crowd of people including Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, some senior citizens and MPs joined the burial ceremony of the four martyred POWs, Nasser Hussein Omar Al-Enezi, Abdullatif Nasser Hussein Al-Wuhaib, Mahmoud Sayyed Redha Sayyed Hassan and An'am Sayyed Ahmed Al-Idan, a woman.

DNA tests have revealed samples of human remains recently collected from a mass grave approximately 83 kilometers south of the southern Iraqi city of Samawa belonged to the four Kuwaiti prisoners. Official spokesman of the Kuwaiti team in charge of searching for the Kuwaiti prisoners Fayez Al-Enezi said the four martyrs were abducted by the ousted Iraqi regime at the beginning of its occupation of Kuwait in 1990.

Sheikh Mohammed condoled the families of the four martyred POWs at the cemetery and offered prayers for them with the other people who attended the ceremony with senior security officers at the Ministry of Interior. HH the Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent cables of condolences to the families of the martyred POWs, expressing deep sorrow for their loss. HH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah also sent cables of condolences to the families, expressing deep sorrow for their loss.

First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also sent cables to the families of martyred POWs. Sheikh Sabah expressed deep condolences and gratitude towards those martyrs for their sacrifices and loyalty towards their country, sympathizing with their families during hard times.
