"2003...Let's set them Free"

Our scheduled guests on POW/MIA Radio for Sunday, September 7, 2003 are:

3:00pm Mtn - News and Views. An hour of the latest POW/MIA and veterans issues. Our special guest for this hour will be Mr. Joe Marshall, representing VFW Post 3471. The Veterans of the city of Morrison, Colorado have a memorial almost completed for their Veteran's Park. The sculpture is the classic memorial to a fallen soldier of a rifle in the ground with a helmet on it. Seems a couple of local residents are try to block it's completion by objecting to the "gun"! Another case of ignorance and disrespect for our veterans. Hear how these local vets are overcoming this opposition.

4:00pm Mtn - Mr. Wilford Billey. Wilford is a veteran and Navajo Code Talker. The use of American Indians as communicators, using their native language, allowed front line combat outfits a quick, secure method of communications. Their services go back in recent history to World War I but became prominent in World War II, especially in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Billey will discuss his experiences as a Navajo Code Talker and his work as a leader in the Navajo Code Talkers Association. Please visit their web site for more information, http://www.lapahie.com/NCTA.cfm .

5:00pm Mtn - Mr. Lloyd Pate. Lloyd is is a retired 1st Sergeant, US Army and author. An Infantryman for twenty-three years, he served in Korea and pulled two tours in Vietnam. He is also a former POW from the Korean War and was classified as a "reactionary" by his captors for his active resistance to their torture and indoctrination. His book, "Reactionary-Revisited 2000", is a frank look at what it was like for our POWs during the Korean War. Lloyd will also discuss current events as he sees them from his unique vantage point and experience.

Remember H.Res. 103 - The house is back in session, ready to work. Contact your reps and get them to co-sponsor this important resolution. We need action NOW!

Please listen to POW/MIA Radio, every Sunday at 3:00pm Mountain time on The American Freedom Network, http://www.americanewsnet.com. We also broadcast via satellite and now with 10,000 watts on KHNC-AM, 1360khz, Johnstown, Colorado.

Thanks,

Rod Utech, Producer
