To:  Franklin Township zoning inspector Stephen Peroz

This petition is a show of support for Summit County, Ohio, resident Robert Seelbach. Mr. Seelbach, an Air Force veteran, has taken it upon himself to create a memorial for our Prisoners of War and Missing in Action from all wars, with special tribute to Gulf War MIA Michael Scott Speicher.

Mr. Seelbach's 32-square feet memorial, which sits in his yard, was deemed "too big" and must come down unless Seelbach gets a variance. Ironically, Mr. Seelbach has a 16-square-feet Steelers sign, which hangs on his fence, that is also much bigger than the "zoning allowed" 6-square-feet sign limit; Peroz doesn't plan on asking Seelbach to take down that sign.

We, the undersigned, applaud Robert Seelbach's effort to inform others of the plight of our POW's and MIA's, and request that zoning inspector Stephen Peroz and the Franklin Township Board of Zoning Appeals grant Seelbach a variance so that he may keep his sign. Thank you.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
