From: POW-MIA InterNetwork
Date: January 11, 2003
"Our scheduled guests on POW/MIA Radio for Sunday, January 12, 2003 are:
3:00pm Mtn - News and Views: An hour of the latest POW and veterans issues. Our special guest will be Joe Higginbotham, 1st Vice President, Friends Working to Free Scott Speicher. Joe will discuss the upcoming rally on Scott Speicher Day and current events. Please visit their web page at http://www.freescottspeicher.com
4:00pm Mtn - Mitch Lerner, author, is also professor at Ohio State University and Fellow at the University of Virginia's Miller Center for Public Affairs. His recent book, "The Pueblo Incident", is one of the most comprehensive reports of the whole issue surrounding the attack on the USS Pueblo by North Korea in 1968. Mitch takes us from the beginning with need for mobile surveilance platforms, through the Pueblo's mission, crew's incarceration for 11 months and the Court of Inquiry. His heavily annotated book is also rich in personal interviews. Mitch details how our Foreign Policy failed us at that time. Will our Foreign policy fail us again, at this critical time today?
5:00pm Mtn - Patty Hopper, Family member, activist and Chairperson for Task Force Omega, Inc. Patty will discuss the latest in the case of Lt. Col. Earl Hopper Jr., USAF, lost January 10, 1968, over North Vietnam. Col. Earl Hopper Sr. and Patty have been deeply involved in getting the facts of their son's case since the incident. Their information includes intelligence that he may have even been alive and possibly returned as recently as 1984. Given his mettle and training to survive, he could be alive even today! As founding members of POW/MIA organizations, their zeal is evident and respected by all working in the POW/MIA issue. Patty will also offer her candid comments on current affairs in the issue.
and political events today. Please visit their web site at
