Tour and Remarks at Excavation Site JTF-FA Excavation Site

Detachment Two of Joint Task Force Full Accounting (JTF-FA) is a Hanoi-based detachment of the Joint Task Force Full Accounting in Hawaii. Its mission is to plan, coordinate and execute humanitarian efforts to account for and resolve the fates of unaccounted for American citizens from the Vietnam War. Detachment Two sustains five 740-member teams per year to investigate the fates of unaccounted for American citizens and to locate and recover their remains. Each team is composed of about 120 American military personnel and DoD civilian employees, about 20 Vietnamese Government representatives and about 600 local laborers.

The excavation site, near Tien Chau Village in the Vinh Phuc Province, is at the site of a November 8 1967 F-105D aircraft crash and the task force is searching for one unaccounted for individual.


Bilateral Meeting with Vietnamese Party Secretary Le Kha Phieu Party Headquarters

Demining Event International Trade Center

The event will highlight demining assistance from the U.S. Government and Non Governmental Organizations to Vietnam.


Repatriation Ceremony Tarmac, Noi Bai Airport

The President will be met at Noi Bai Airport by the JTF-FA Commander. He will review the inventory of remains. During the ceremony, the honor guard will transfer the remains to a C-17 aircraft. Upon completion of the ceremony, the President will walk to meet the C-17 aircrew, the honor guard and Vietnamese officials.


The President will depart Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi en route Tansonnhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam."
