News Advisory:   TRIP OF FIRST LADY HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON TO ISRAEL AND VIETNAM Nov. 15-20

PRESS SCHEDULE FOR NOVEMBER 15-19  

NOTE: This schedule outlines the First Lady's trip to Israel for Leah Rabin's funeral and her separate press events during the President's trip to Vietnam. The First Lady has two major events planned for Vietnam, including a tour of a village outside of Hanoi, and a speech in Ho Chi Minh City. Other events may be added.

Additional information will be released when it becomes available, and all schedules are subject to change. Please see the President's schedule for Vietnam for a full itinerary.

Editor's Note: The First Lady departs for Israel the afternoon of Tuesday, Nov. 14 and arrives the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 15. Both her departure and arrival are closed press.

Wednesday, Nov. 15

3 p.m. Funeral of Leah Rabin Mount Herzl Jerusalem, Israel

Press Notes: POOL PRESS. All press arrangements are being handled by the Israeli government press office. 4:30 p.m Arrival in Vietnam (approx.) Noi Bai International Airport Hanoi, Vietnam

Friday, Nov. 17

11:45 a.m. Visit to Yen Tang Village Mrs. Clinton will tour a small village outside of Hanoi. She will visit the home of a woman who has benefited from a local microcredit program and participate in a weekly meeting of the women's microcredit group. Finally, she'll greet villagers and other program participants as she departs. All stops will have consecutive translation.

Press Notes: Due to space limitations, the visit to the village is POOL PRESS (Pool TBD). If you are interested in covering this event, please contact the First Lady's press office at 202-456-2960 to inquire about space in the pool.

No riser, power, lights or mult for the house visit. For the microcredit meeting, a riser will be provided, and power, mult and lights are TBD. Throws range from 10-30 feet.

Press covering the village will depart the Hilton Opera (press filing center) at 9:30 a.m. Bathrooms and drinking water are severely limited at event sites.
