Re: Formation of Korea-Cold War Family Organization

Date: July 27, 1998

ANNOUNCEMENT

COALITION OF FAMILIES
of

KOREAN & COLD WAR POW/MIAs

Dedicated to the fullest possible accounting for our missing servicemen

We are pleased to announce the formation of a new family organization dedicated to a full accounting of our POW/MIAs. The Coalition of Families of Korean & Cold War POW/MIAs is a nonprofit organization, comprised of families whose loved ones remain missing and unaccounted for from the Korean and Cold War period. Our purpose is singular: to obtain the fullest possible accounting for these missing servicemen.

We founding members have years of extensive experience working with government officials, the media, veterans groups, and other family organizations. We have formed the Coalition of Families in an effort to provide more comprehensive assistance to the families on issues that concern the loss of their loved ones, and to develop more productive relationships with officials charged with the accounting process.

We invite family members to contact us if they need assistance, or would like to contribute to this united effort to account for the men we lost without explanation. We also ask for the blessing and support of the collective POW/MIA community, as we work to resolve the questions that have remained unanswered for far too long.

Sincerely,

Donna Downes Knox
