Eastern European concentration camp survivors will receive roughly $400 a piece in the new Swiss Bank settlement.

609 former prisoners and 400 Jewish Holocaust survivors will be on hand for the ceremony honoring them and to receive their compensation, samll as it is. This comes on the heels of previous payments to 40,000 Holocaust survivors.

Two groups of people have yet to publicly recognized, let alone considered by the powers-that-be for compensation.

The first, the Rroma people, who were targeted and victimized in the Poraimos and have yet to receive ANY acknowledgment of their unimaginable suffering, let alone compensation.

The second, American POWs who were interned and liberated from hellish camps such as Berga, Buchenwald and Mathausen. Even the US government doesn't like to talk about this one... then again they don't like to talk about anything having to do with POWs and MIAs.
