Re: 'MIA" Team Heads to Vietnam

Date: September 17, 1999

On what is National POW-MIA Recognition Day, the political soft-sell that is Washington, DeCeit, announces an 'MIA' Team leaves for SEA. Presumably they will look for MIAs only... is there no POW Team? Apparently not, we are still observing POW-MIA recognition Day.

AP states that 98 specialists from the US military will head to SEA in hopes of finding and recovering remains. Joinging a Vietnamese group on Tuesday, recovery operations in 23 Provinces will commence.

This is the 42nd Joint Operation since JTF-FA was created in 1992.
