Re: War Era Mass Grave Discovered
Date: July 05, 1998
Nhan Dan, Communist Vietnam's Party paper, announced the discovery of a war-era mass grave.
Discovered in Quang Tri Province, the grave was believed to hold as many as 20 Vietnamese soldiers and dates to 1968-1970. In addition to remains, the grave is said to contain personal effects and equipment. The remains were exhumed and reinterred in the Cam Lo War Cemetery.
Vietnam seeks the fate of their missing, said to number as many as 300,000.
