Re: ICRC Visits 3 US POWs in FRY

ICRC officials announced that the 3 US POWs held by Yugoslavia since their capture 31 MAR 99, have been visited.
"We did visit. We did see the prisoners," stated an ICRC spokesperson. The visit was part of a delegation to Belgrade where a meeting with Slobodan Milosvic was planned. Details on the visit were no provided and the ICRC later said, "It was simply a first contact."
