Re: DPRK and US Agree To Excavate
Date: May 15, 1997
Although little came of the 'official' meetings between the US and North Korea over a 10 day period, 'unofficial' talks have set the ground work for an agreement to excavate POW-MIA remains in the communist country.
The excavations will cover those men lost in North Korea. Three joint excavations have been agreed to, with the US picking up the tab for personnel, materiel, pre-excavation survey and the joint field exercises themselves.
